Background Story

Core Alchemy and Core Technology
It is known that Core Technology was in its period of prosperity during the Honorable Age, but it was lost after the Great Destruction. Rumor has it that the Sage Tower is supposed to keep the knowledge secret from the public, but the rumor has not been confirmed. Ever since Nevareth was built on the ashes of the Honorable Age, thousands of scholars endeavored to restore the essentials of Core Technology by studying the remains of the age, and their zealous efforts resulted in restoring early Core Technology.

In the Lost Age, the previous age before the Honorable Age, the atomic theory was the primary explanation for the nature of matter. However, Core Technology theory became more accepted in the Honorable Age. This theory recognizes that all objects are composed of a combination of three different cores: the essence, the materialized essence, and the shape.

Core Technology is a science that pursues the understanding of the principles and interests in the core unions.

C.A. Transmutation Theory
Nevarethian scholars may have gained fruitful results in restoring early Core Technology, but it does not mean that they succeeded in gaining the complete knowledge of Core Technology. The development stage stagnated without any hope, the scientists and scholars were incapable of creating new types of cores and core unions, and it did not seem that there would be remarkable outcomes created any time soon.

Then later in 970 Sages Year, a few frustrated young Core Scientists developed and advocated a new explanation called [Core Alchemic Transmutation Theory]. This theory is based on the Core Resonance Effect, which changes core attributes by causing resonances between two cores, in order to create new types of core unions from existing cores. The theory was revolutionary, and engendered a lot of controversy in the academic world upon its declaration. Many scholars and scientists pointed out the fact that the theory has a high possibility to destabilize Crystallized Core’s Stable Status, and some were even worried about the theory being used to create mass murder weapons or to bring natural disaster through extreme practices. As a result of the controversy, the Sage Tower has prohibited the practice of the theory within the academic world under the article of “prohibition in studying or practicing mass murder weapons” in the 3rd NCC (Nevareth Continental Council) constitution
